...In company with her husband, the unfortunate woman arrived at the home for a visit from their home in the southeastern part of the state. After arising this morning, she retired to her room later, and it was thought she had taken a nap to rest from her journey... She was between 40 and 45 years of age and besides her husband is survived by five children. The children did not accompany the parents on the trip. No reason for the act is known but she had been in poor health since last winter, when she suffered a severe attack of influenza.

The woman...was learned by authorities to be Mrs. Anna Herring (sic), age 41, wife of Claus Herring of Verdon, Neb. She is survived by her husband and five children. Mrs. Herring came to the Luebs home on Tuesday for a visit. She had been ill and was still in bad health and despondency...
