Funeral services for Mrs. Emma Clara Williams, 69 years of age, were held Tuesday, November 6 at 2 p.m. from the Edelen-Lyon Funeral Home with the Rev. George L. Warren and the Rev. Felix J. Sanders in charge of the services. Burial was in Brookside Cemetery. The pallbearers were Edward L. Payne, Gene Blakey, Paul Smith, L. T. Wheat, Johnnie Young and Henry Crouch. Mrs. Williams, daughter of thte late Lou Ellen Lemons and James J. Wilkerson, died Sunday afternoon, November 4, at 4 p.m. at her home on Central Avenue following a long period of illness. She united in marriage to Johnnie I. Williams and to this union five daughters and two sons were born. She is survived by her husband and seven children: Mrs. Ruth Feary of Burbank, Calif.; Ray Williams, Mrs. Olive Harden, and Johnnie I. Williams, Jr., all of Louisville; Mrs. Louise Moore of Los Angeles, Calif.; and Mrs. Grace Eads and Mrs. Margaret Tarter, both of Campbellsville. She is also survived by one brother, W. C. Wilkerson of Danville, Ky.; eight grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
