BASS-PICKETT Nettie Jean
Nettie Jean Bass-Pickett, age 72, of Pemberville, Ohio, formerly of Walbridge, passed away Friday, January 21, 2005, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg.

She was born February 25, 1932, to Rufus Avery and Edyith (Bone) McAdams in Cullman, Alabama. Nettie was employed with Toledo Stamping for 21 years retiring in 1987. She was a member of the Harbor Light Christian Church (Pastor Charles Rainey, Associate Pastor Mike Kopp) and a member of the UAW Local 12, Region 2B and the CAP COUNCIL.

In addition to her parents, Nettie was preceded in death by her husband, Troy Pickett; sisters, Martha Jo Oberley and Joyce Ann McAdams; brother, W.R. McAdams; granddaughter, Sally Ann and great-grandchildren, Amanda Marie and Christopher Lee. She is survived by her loving children, 10 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive guests Tuesday from 2:00-8:00 p.m. in the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will be Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Officiating will be Pastor Charles Rainey. Interment will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.

Memorial Contributions may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg.

A special thanks to the staff and caregivers with Otterbein Portage Valley and Hospice Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg and especially Cheryl Brewer of Hospice for the loving care and support she provided for Nettie.
