Otto Janzen Dead
Otto Janzen, Indio, Calif., a retired machinist with the Missouri Pacific Railroad and a former resident of Emporia, died Tuesday afternoon in Indio.
Funeral services will be in Roberts-Blue- Barnett Chapel, with the time to be announced.
The son of Gustava and Mary Rieman Janzen, Otto Janzen was born Jan. 12th, 1893, in Ellinwood, and he was married to Katie Wallace in 1912, in Emporia. They had lived in Emporia, then for several years in Little Rock, Ark., before moving to California at the time of Mr. Janzen's retirement. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church and the Masonic Lodge in Little Rock. He was preceded in death by one son, William W., and he is survived by his wife, of the home; one son, Otto Jr., San Diego, Calif.; three daughters, Mrs. Charles D. Riley Sr., Kansas City, Mo.; Mrs. R. F.Thomson, North Little Rock, Ark.,, and Mrs. Coy Lewis, Indio; one step-sister, Mrs. E.E. Rinker, 613 State St., five grandsons and three great-grandchildren.
