Mrs. Brown was born in Huntington County to the late William and Mary (Rogers) Bryan. She was a homemaker. She married Robert Reed on Oct. 14, 1946. He died April 22, 1959. She remarried Aug. 14, 1965, to Foster G. Brown. He died April 24, 1989. She graduated from Huntington High School in 1939. She was a former member of the First Baptist Church, Huntington, former member of Beta Sigma Pi, Huntington, and Exemplar Chapter, Wabash. She was a member of Congregational Christian Church.

Survivors include children, Thomas (Ruth) Reed, North Manchester, Patricia (Michael) Ancil, Marion, and Beatrice Raucstadt, Washburn, Mo.; brothers, William Bryan, Huntington, Ted E. Bryan, Fort Wayne, and Kenneth Bryan, San Bernardino, Calif.; stepdaughter, Jean Brainard, North Manchester; and two grandchildren.

She also was preceded in death by two stepsons, two brothers and a sister.
