Mr. Dampier died Tuesday morning of an apparent heart attack.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Tina Mayberry Dampier of Bastrop; two sons, Cordell Dampier Jr. of Bastrop, and Bobby Ray Dampier of Winnsboro; six daughters, Mrs. Bobby Carter of Bossier City, Mrs. Ralphy Wyatt of Collinston, Mrs. Gorman McDowell of Jones, Mrs. Johnny Smith of Bonita, Mrs. Perry Stanfield of Calhoun and Miss Connie Sue Dampier of Bastrop; two brothers, G. F. Dampier of Bastrop and Odell Dampier of Houston, Tex.; and two sisters, Mrs. Jesse Fatheree and Mrs. Richard Valentine [sic Volentine], both of Olla.
