She was born in Downers Grove, DuPage County, Illinois, and married John Worth Carnahan on April 17, 1895 also in the same county. The second Mabel is buried at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Suitland, Prince George's County, Maryland. The Carnahan's had moved to Washington, DC before 1910. She died in Manhattan, New York, on December 23, 1935.
