There has been some misconception regarding two different woman that had the same name of Mable Newton and both being from DuPage County, IL.
The grave of this one was the daughter of William Casper and Charlotte (Sandercock) Newton. She married Job Cox on November 12, 1902 in DuPage County, IL.
The other lady was Mabel Aubrey Newton daughter of Orrin Waters and Maggie (Powers) Newton. She was born in Downers Grove, DuPage County, Illinois, and married John Worth Carnahan on April 17, 1895 also in the same county. The second Mabel is buried at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Suitland, Prince George's County, Maryland. The Carnahan's had moved to Washington, DC before 1910. She died in Manhattan, New York, on December 23, 1935.
It is unknown if their two fathers were or how related.
