Funeral services for Grace Ward, 94, of Quitman were held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 26, at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel of the Chimes with Preston Hazzard Jr. officiating.
Burial was in Roselawn Cemetery, Mineola, under the direction of Lowe Funeral Home.
Mrs. Ward died August 24, 2005, at Quitman.
She was born July 30, 1911, in Rains County.
She lived in Quitman since 1968, moving from Duncanville.
She taught school for 36 years in Dallas, Wood County and Rains County.
She was a member of First Baptist Church in Quitman.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Ward; mother and father, A.L. and Emma Bruce; four brothers; and six sisters.
