NURSE DIES IN HOSPITAL

Milwaukee, Wis., July 30 - Miss Minnie Matts, Waukesha county nurse, died early today at Columbia hospital following an operation last Tuesday.

Donations from Towns, Villages Are Trucked Here Today.

Joseph Matts, Verona, donated a historic aluminum water bottle his sister, Minnie Matts, carried when she worked as an army nurse during construction of the Panama canal.

CHILD WELFARE SPECIAL OPENS COUNTY TOUR

Miss Marie Gerhards, county nurse, is assisting the work of the Child Welfare Special. They are Dr. Blanche Horner Rivers, a specialist employed by the state board of health, and Miss Minnie Matts, a public health nurse. The third member of the "crew" the driver who is also the mechanic for the large truck which is part of the traveling clinic.

The Special drives in to Manitowoc here ever night, leaving the city in the morning.
