Mrs. James Markus, Organizer of Phillipsburg Neighbors
Mrs. Joyce E. Markus, 52, of 13 Henderson St., Phillipsburg, died last night in Warren Hospital where she was admitted June 27.

She was on of the organizers of the Henderson-Glen Avenue Neighborhood Association that hold annual picnics around July 4.

A tester at OPT Industries, Lopatcong Township, she last worked in February.

Born in Phillipsburg on Oct 28,1925, she was a daughter of the late Edward and Hazel Rigline Ebner.

She was a 1943 graduate of Phillipsburg High School where she was active in school plays. She was a member of the high school's Band Boosters Club.

Mrs. Markus was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church, Phillipsburg.

Surviving are her husband, James J. Markus; two sons, a daughter, and three grandchildren.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Rupell Funeral Home, Phillipsburg. Interment will be in Phillipsburg Cemetery
