He is survived by his wife, Berthal Elizabeth James Bartholomew of Lexington; two daughters, Rhonda Johnson of Wildersville and Joy Beth Campbell of Cedar Grove; one son, Carl Edward Bartholomew Jr. of Wildersville; one brother, Billy Joe Bartholomew of Ledbetter, KY, and five grandchildren. Reed's Chapel was in charge of the service.
