Amelia was born July 10, 1867 in Germany to Carl Fick and Friederike Mihlert. When she was 17 years old, she emigrated to the United States with her parents on April 10, 1884, arriving in Baltimore, Maryland on the ship Hohenzollern. She married Henry W. Seflow on September 20, 1888 in Monroe County, Wisconsin. She died April 15, 1939.
In 1900, she was living in Lincoln township, Monroe, Wisconsin with her husband, Henry, and children, Clara, Lela, Louis, and Lydia. She was listed as a 32-year-old, married, white female. It was also noted that at this time, she'd had four children, all of whom were still living.
