Son and eldest child of Allen Hezekiah Richardson by his second wife, Sarah Ann Ogden. Frank Richardson spent his adult life as a stone cutter/stone mason. Supposedly was responsible for or involved in the creation of the stone columns and facades that grace many buildings that were constructed in 1920's on the Ohio State University campus.

He was married three times: Lena Leota Losey (married 1892), Ripley County, Indiana; Leonora (Nora) Ann Bruce (married 1895), Greensburg, Decatur County, Indiana; Nettie Belle Mazelin (married 1903), Newark, Licking County, Ohio.

He fathered six children: Arthur Sylvester Kephart (1893-1962); Waneta Richardson (1896-1901); Otis W. Richardson (1898-1971); Charles A. Richardson (1906-?); Mary K. Richardson Patrick (1910-2003); Oleta Marie Richardson O'Neill (1917-1947).

Buried next to his third wife, Nettie Belle Richardson. Ironic that a man who likely cut many a grave marker out of raw stone has no marker himself.
