Dolores A. (Wendt) Zarn, 81, of 1500 32nd St. S., died of natural causes Friday at a local nursing home.

Her memorial service is 2 p.m. Tuesday at O'Connor Funeral Home, with burial of ashes in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Cremation has taken place.

Survivors include her beloved husband of 38 years, Alfred Zarn; six children, Ellen Wryn of Seattle, Sharon Fredrick (Bruce) of Altamont, N.Y., Linda Hunter of Kodiak, Alaska, Karen Ducimitere (Denis) of Great Falls, Kathy Davidson (Steve) of Great Falls and John Wryn of Anderson, Calif.; 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Dolores was born May 3, 1923, in Philadelphia, the fifth child of Frank and Regina Wendt. She lived in Philadelphia from birth until 1959 when she moved to Great Falls.

Dolores enjoyed many things in her life. She was wonderful at sewing, was always painting and decorating her home and made the most beautiful clothes for dolls. She was always one with a joke to make you laugh and mornings visiting her over coffee were full of wisdom and good advice. She played a mean game of pinochle and canasta, but if you left the table she would stack your hand with a double pinochle just to see your expression.

She was a dedicated wife and mother who was always there when needed. She was very proud of her job at U-Store It where she managed the office and the bookkeeping for 14 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents and four siblings, Frank Wendt, John Wendt, Jean Costa and Eleanor Rody.

A special thanks to Park Place Nursing Home who has taken such wonderful care of her for the past 14 years.
