Ernest F., son of Earl and Mabel Randolph Furrow, was born in Redlands, California, July 16, 1901, and passed away at his home in Farina on Nov. 11, 1973.

Ernest joined the Seventh Day Baptist Church of Farina, April 10, 1915, and was a faithful member as long as his health permitted. He was the church clerk for a number of years, and most interested in the welfare of the church. He was retired from a Navy career, after having served in World War II and the Korean conflict. He married Marguerite Ann Leonard on June 15, 1926.

Surviving are his wife; his mother, Mrs. Mabel Allen of Vandalia; a son, Ernest Earl of Joliet, Illinois; two daughters, Mrs. C. W. (Marie) Engel of Hanover, Virginia, and Mrs. Henry (Betty) Spencer of Farina; a sister, Mrs. Olive Harpster of San Diego, California; a half-brother, Paul Allen of Farina; ten grandchildren, and seven, great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at the Stonecipher Funeral Home on Nov. 14, 1973 with his pastor, the Rev. Carlos McSparin officiating. Burial was in the Farina Cemetery.
