Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 2, at Pine Rest Cemetery, with the Rev. Scott McInnis officiating. The family will receive friends at Kennedy Funeral Home, prior to the service, beginning at 12.
Mr. Maness was a native of Moore County. He served in the United States Merchant Marines. He worked at Robbins Mill, Ithaca Industries and Burlington Industries.
He was a son of the late Henry Clay and Aggie Hussey Maness.
Jim is survived by his wife of 63 years, Louvene, of the home; daughters, Joy Whitlock (John), of Carthage, and Gale Enloe (Rancie Moore), of Robbins; three grandchildren, Robert Enloe, Jill McInnis and Joe Whitlock; eight great-grandchild; and one great-great-grandchild.
