Aaron C. Poynter, 73 Indianapolis, passed away January 29, 2013 in his residence. Born September 17, 1939 in Bowling Green, Kentucky, he was the son of Vachel and Mossie Dennison Poynter. He married Helen Dove and she preceded him in death. Aaron was a member of Teamsters and worked as a diesel mechanic for White Freight Liner in Indianapolis for 15 years, before retiring. He was also an ordained minister serving as the pastor of Mars Hill Baptist Church for several years. Survivors include his sons: Tommy and Frank Poynter of Indianapolis, 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Services will be at 2:00 pm on Saturday, February 2, 2013 in Baker Funeral Home, Danville, with burial to follow in Danville South Cemetery. Calling will be from 11:00 am until the service in the funeral home.
