GARRETT TENBROOK DIES NEAR SADORUS
Garrett Tenbrook, an elderly truck farmer who lived two miles southwest of Sadorus, died at 8:30 o'clock Wednesday morning at his home. Peritonitis resulting from gallstones was given as the cause of the death. For ten days previous to his death Mr Tenbrook had been very seriously ill. His two sons and two daughters, with his wife were present at his bedside when he died.
Mr Tenbrook was the last living member of his fathers family. He was born at Montezuma Indiana on March 11, 1844. Forty-seven years ago he married Miss Alice Sexton of near Sadorus. To this union seven children were born, four of whom are now living. Mr Tenbrook had lived the greater part of his life in the community in which he lived. He is survived by his widow; two daughters,Mrs Lizzie Perkins of Westville; and Mrs Nellie Rickey of Decatur; and two sons, Peter and Lloyde, both of whom live near Sadorus.
The funeral services will be held at the Baptist church in Sadorus Friday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock. The Rev. R.S. Mackey, pastor of the church will officiate. The burial will be be in the Sadorus cemetery.
