Born in Friedensburg Pennsylvania to Johann Kemmerling and wife Margaret (nee unknown).

"FORMER RESIDENT DEAD

Mrs. Susan Wentz, aged 78 years, died at her home in Allenwood, Union county, on Saturday afternoon, of general debility. Mrs Wentz was one of the early residents of this town, and resided here during the freshet of 1861. She, with her husband, continued their residence in this town until 1864, when they removed to Allenwood. Besides her husband she leaves to survive her the following children: William, of Delano; Frank, of Illinois; Charles and George, of town. The funeral cortege will arrive in town on the 1.27 train. Interment will be made in the Odd Fellows' Cememtery.

Gravesite Details

Hiram and Susanna are surrounded by their children in this plot. Jeremiah, Charles, John, with wives and their grandson Oscar are all buried here. Also son George is just a few yards away in the same area.
