Julie Ann Sackett Rowe
(December 20, 1949 - January 26, 2013)

Julie Ann Sackett Rowe, 63, passed away Saturday, January 26, 2013 at LDS Hospital from complications of pneumonia and was surrounded by her huge family.

She was born in Blythe, California on December 20, 1949, daughter of Alma and Rachel Sackett.

She married Doug on October 8, 1966. During their 46 years of marriage they built a loving family to include four children, Colette (John) Carver, Nicole (Rick) Harley, Cory (Misty) Rowe, Amanda (Jeremy) Coppock, 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings, Lavell, Ken and Jean.

Preceded in death by her grandparents, parents, sister, niece and nephew.

She worked for Kmart for 23 years and then did home day-care after. Julie was an outdoor enthusiast, enjoyed hunting, camping, gardening, fishing, and riding four-wheelers. She also enjoyed making her custom log candles, cooking, reading, puzzles, animals, and yard-selling with her husband.

In December 2011, Julie was diagnosed with Leukemia. In August 2012 she was declared Leukemia free after receiving a bone marrow transplant from her sister Jean.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the entire staff of the East 8 Floor at LDS Hospital for their endless devotion and compassion for Julie during her courageous fight. Their children would like to thank their dad for his everlasting love and commitment to their mom not only for their entire marriage but especially the last year of her life!

Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 31, 2013 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist's Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Friends may visit family Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday from 12:45 to 1:45 p.m. at the mortuary.
