Amil enjoyed riding his bicycle and was known for walking all over town and visiting with his friends. He was a life long member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Survivors include two brothers: James G. Gieck and wife Dorothy of Jefferson City, Merle Gieck and wife Cindy of Jefferson City; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Louis H. Gieck Sr.
Friends will be received from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 6, 2008 at the Houser-Millard Funeral Home, where funeral services will follow at 12:00 p.m. Graveside services and interment will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Francis Cemetery near Belle. Expressions of sympathy may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
