* 1890 Obituary - "The Decatur Daily Despatch", Decatur, Illinois - 01 Feb 1890 - Mrs. Deardoff died on last Friday morning at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. L. H. Alvord, from la grippe. The funeral will be from the Presbyterian church on Sunday at 10:30 a. m. -- 02- Feb 1890 - Mrs. Sarah Dearduff, one of the aged and respected citizens of Bement, at her home Friday morning, aged 76 years. Her remains were brought for burial on Saturday evening.

* 1890 Obituary - "Monticello Bulletin", Monticello, Illinois - Pg 4, - February 7, 1890 - Mrs. Sarah Deardurff whose illness has been noted in the Bulletin, died at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Alvord last Friday. Services were held at the house on Saturday by Rev. M. Murphy. The remains were taken of Monticello and interred in the new cemetery. Mrs. Deardurff was a native of Ross county, Ohio but had been for many years a resident of this state, She was born Sept. 2 1818 and was married twice - to Samuel T. Williams Nov. 23, 1840, who died in 1858, and A. P. Deardurff June 21, 1863. Since her second widowhood which occurred five years ago she has made her home with her daughter, Mrs. L. H. Alvord.

Sarah "Sally" married 1st to Samuel T. Williams on November 22, 1840 in Pickaway County, Ohio. They had 3 children John F. Williams b: 1842 in Pickaway Co., Ohio - Benj F. Williams b: 1844 in Pickaway Co., Ohio, and Mary E. Williams b: 1858 in Pickaway Co., Ohio.
