Bodies of These Philadelphia Soldiers Were Brought Home Last Week
Three Philadelphia soldiers, who lost their lives serving with the American forces in France, and whose bodies were brought home last week, were buried today with honors.

Many fraternal and patriotic organizations, headed by Philadelphia Chapter of War Mothers, and friends and neighbors of his foster mother, Mrs. Hannah Levy, 2424 North Twentieth street, attend the funeral services for Private Richard Gross and followed the casket from a funeral parlor at Broad and Norris streets to Mt. Sinai Cemetery, Frankford.
Gross enlisted in the United States Army when only eighteen years of age, and served nine months before being killed at Fumes, early in November, 1918. He was a member of Company D, of the Seventh Field Artillery.
The funeral was in charge of Post Commander, Dr. Charles S. Schafer and adjutant Morris H. Starr, of the Stern-Price Post, No. 417, American Legion. The services were conducted by Rabbi Max D. Klein. Adjutant Starr spoke at the grave."
