Wilbur was a son of Samuel Earl Alsup and Nannilee (Hall) Alsup. He served in the U. S. Navy during World War 11, and was a member of State Street Church of Christ. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Sadie (Eastridge)Alsup; two daughters Saundra K. Jirik and Roxanna A. Mullan; four sisters, Thelma E. Manning, Marguerite Pass, Gail Evans and Sarah L. Porter; three brothers, Herbert S. Alsup, Claborn H. Alsup and Wallace K. Alsup, and seven grandchildren.
