History of Woodstock, CT and Genealogies of Woodstock Families, v6, p582, 583:

MATTHEW HAMMOND(7) (Jonathan(6), Isaac(5), Thomas(4,3), William(2), John(1)) b. Woodstock Nov. 4, 1733, m. Mar. 30, 1758 Mary Muncil (both of Woodstock); was surveyor at Woodstock 1760, a resident of Vermont 1764. Matthew(7) on June 14, 1759 agreed to take from Samuel McClellan three old sheep and three lambs and after keeping them four years to return twelve "good store sheep, six sheep and six lambs" or to make good all damages which Matthew Hammond did by paying in part through John Greene, Nov. 22, 1763 two pounds eight shillings to Samuel McClellan.*
