Mrs. Sarah Ann Bennett , 75 , died Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock at the home of her oldest son Benjamin Wesley Bennett of Manor area. Her illness was of several weeks and was the result of a complication of ailments originating from old age.

A native of Pierce County and a daughter to the late Richard A. Bennett & Lavinia Newmans..(both are said to be buried in the Corbitt's family cemetery, which is Booth's..)

Married on December 3, 1846 in Ware County to Mr. William Thomas James where they lived happily until their deaths.
Mr. and Mrs. James was a consistent member of the Primitive Baptist Church for a long number of years.
They were blessed with 15 children and 10 of whom are now still living now.
97 great grand children that are still living.
The hospitable home of Uncle Tom and Aunt Sarah was one of the old landmarks in this community and it's disappearance brings sadness to many hearts.

Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon next to her husband at the private cemetery at the old homestead, where they lived so happy together for about 50 years.
Rev. Markey will perform the rites in the presence of a large assembly of relatives and friends.
