Funeral services for Mrs. Annie Brotemarkle, 76 year old Marion resident, were conducted at 3 p.m., Wednesday at the Yocom chapel with the Rev. J.P. Gable in charge. Pallbearers were Herbert Dunn, Robert Goodyear and Gilbert Gordon of Marion and Wilbur Boehm of Greeley. Burial was in Oak Shade cemetery.
Mrs. Brotemarkle died at 7 p.m. Sunday at a Cedar Rapids hospital after a lengthy illness.
Mrs. Brotemarkle was born on November 21, 1869 at Walnut, Ia., (sic) the daughter of David and Jane Jamison Milliken. She was married to Miles D. Brotemarkle Sept. 28, 1892, at Walnut, Ill.
The couple came to Marion in 1905 from Illinois and lived here until 1919 when they went to Greeley. Mr. Brotemarkle died Sept. 18, 1934, at Greeley and Mrs. Brotemarkle returned to Marion that year.
She was a member of the Marion Methodist church and of the Mary Circle of the W.S.C.S.
Surviving are two sons, Darius of West Palm Beach, Fla., and Marion of Marion; three daughters, Mrs. Lillie Dunn of Marion, Mrs. Ruth Goodyear of Marion, and Mrs. Alice Cornelius of Omaha; five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and one sister, Mrs. Minnie Epperson, Walnut, Ill.
