A Needham resident since 1956, Ardith and her late husband George were very active at the Charles River Center in Needham for many years. Together with her late husband she enjoyed bowling, ballroom dancing and summers in Warner NH. Mrs. Smith was a former Lunchroom aide at the Harris School in Needham.
Beloved wife of 59 years to the late George C. Smith Jr.
Loving mother of Loraine "Lori" Lach and her husband Thomas of Dedham, Katherine Smith of Medfield, Martha "Marcy" Smith and her husband Paul of Millis and Amy Louise Smith of Millis. Grandmother of Paul Jr. and Joshua Smith of Millis. Sister of Audrey Callahan of Wellesley and her late husband Herbert and sister in law of Cynthia Zervas of Westwood and her late husband Frank.
Funeral Services at the Newton Cemetery, Chapel 791 Walnut St. Newton on Friday Jan. 4th at 11:00 AM.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited.
Interment will follow at the Newton Cemetery.
