Ted W. Cates, 82, of Borger, TX, passed away, Wednesday, January 23, 2013.

Ted William Cates was born Thursday, October 2, 1930 in Pawhuska, OK to Tip and Alta (King) Cates. He was a data control coordinator for Phillips Petroleum. Ted married Dorothy Wilson on October 2, 2005 in Borger, TX.

Mr. Cates is preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Anna Jo Cates; eleven brothers and sisters.

Survivors include his wife Dorothy; son, Jeffrey and wife Debbie of Del Valle, TX and grandchildren Jason, Tonya and Anna and one great granddaughter, Maya; step-son, Robert and wife Julie of Post, TX; two step-daughters, Selma of Amarillo, TX and Nancy and husband Bobby of Borger, TX; seven additional grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 9:00AM, Monday, January 28, 2013 at Church of Christ at Borger with Denny Sneed and Richard Kasko officiating. Burial will be at 5:00PM in Albert Joseph Powell Memorial Cemetery in Hominy, OK.

Viewing will be at Brown Chapel Of The Fountains on Saturday, January 26, 2013 from 8:00AM to 8:00PM and Sunday, January 27, 2013 from 12:00PM to 6:00PM.
