News of the passing of Mrs. Dennis Driscoll, which occurred Aug. 17, 1925, came as a shock to her many friends in this community and throughout the county. Mrs. Driscoll was one of our best known women and her death will be a source of sincere and personal sorrow to many people. A woman of broad mind, and a deep and tender sympathy, one whose gentleness was perhaps her most marked characteristic. She had won a place in the hearts and affections of those with whom she associated, and they will bow their heads in grief with those who suffer the loss of noble and tender mother.
Anne O'Brien was born in Ireland, and came to this country at the age of 18 years, and later was united in marriage to Dennis Driscoll in Michigan. She is survived by three children, viz: Mrs. M.J. Murphy of Milwaukee, Charles of Benton and Mrs. Tierney O'Neill of Seymour township, with whom she made her home for several years before her death, and she also has a niece living in Montana.
Funeral services were conducted at the Catholic church in Shullsburg, on Wednesday forenoon, August 19, and her body was laid to rest in thier family lot by the side of her husband, who preceded her to the grave some years ago. - Pick and Gad.
