Terry Rene' Beggs, 53, of Amarillo died Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2013.
Service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in More Church, 5511 W. Amarillo Blvd., with the Rev. Max Beggs and Tanner Beggs officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by LaGrone-Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors, Coulter Road Chapel, 8310 S. Coulter St.
Terry was born July 31, 1959, in Amarillo to Joe and Nelda Brooks. She grew up in Amarillo and graduated from Caprock High School in 1977. She married Norman Beggs on May 28, 1982. She worked for many years as an accounting assistant in Amarillo. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother who loved her family with all her heart. Her favorite motto, "Life is Good," was applied to every facet in her life. Terry brightened up every room she walked into with her outgoing personality. She was an avid reader and loved camping. Terry will be deeply missed by all her friends and family.
She was preceded in death by two grandmothers, Opal Moore and Susie Fulks.
Survivors include her husband, Norman; a son, Tanner Beggs and wife Linsey of Amarillo; her parents, Joe Brooks and wife Nelda of Amarillo; a father-in-law, Max Beggs and wife Ruth of Amarillo; a mother-in-law, Lois Bowren of Amarillo; a brother, Roy Brooks and wife Karen of Las Vegas; a sister, Joy Zeebach and husband Steve of Briscoe; a grandparent, Leonard Fulks of Amarillo; and a grandson, Zion Beggs.
