BELVEDERE, S.C. - Funeral Services for Mr. Joe O. Edwins, 85, of Edgefield Road, Belvedere, SC, who entered into rest January 23, 2013, will be conducted Saturday afternoon at 1 o'clock from the Posey Funeral Chapel. Rev. J. Lloyd Prince and Rev. John Meyer officiating. Interment in Sunset Hill Cemetery with Veterans Honors. Mr. Edwins was a life-long resident of Belvedere and husband of the late Beatrice McCarty Edwins. He was a member of the Belvedere First Baptist Church, a retired Home Builder and a former member of the Home Builder's Association. Mr. Edwins was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II, having served with the 88th Division in Italy and was a member of the American Legion. Survivors include three daughters and a son-in-law, Sandra Edwins, Belvedere, Linda and Bob Bishop, North Augusta and Jo Angela Edwins, Florence, SC; two grandchildren, Brandon Mullis and Shanna Gamache; two great grandchildren, Corey Gamache and Cameron Gamache; two sisters, Frances Stanley, Columbia, SC and Peggy Hudson, Savannah, GA. Honorary Pallbearers will be Dan Edwins, Lawrence Langston, Julian Langston and Bobby Kerr. Active Pallbearers will be Brandon Mullis, Josh Gamache, Clifford Hudson, Tracy Kerr, Edwin Dowd and Chris Peebles. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
