Son of Richard Charles and Eleanora Norvelle Spann Richardson, husband of Elizabeth Sinkler Manning.

SUMTER - The body of Col. Richard C. Richarson, who died in the hospital at Orangeburg yesterday evening, was brought to his home here today and will be laid to rest tomorrow in the Sumter Cemetery. The funeral services will be held at noon in the Church of the Holy Comforter.

Colonel Richardson was born nearly 69 years ago at the old family home at Fulton, in Clarendon County, where the Richardsons have been prominent planters and lived there until he removed to this city some years ago. He enjoyed a wide circle of friends and was greatly beloved by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife, who is the sister of former Gov. Richard I. Manning; seven sons, W. M. Richardson of Orangeburg, Richard C. Richardson of Statesburg, Henry Richardson of Houston, Seaman S. Richardson of Manning, Deas M. Richardson of Houston, Irvine M. Richardson of Salisburg, Archie D. Richardson of Orangeburg; and four daughters, Miss Eleanor Richardson, Miss Nannie Richardson and Miss Caroline Richardson, all of Sumter, and Mrs. Henry B. Richardson of Sumerton.
