Obituary - May 1918
Mrs. Jesse Martin died at her home in Servia following an illness that had lasted 2 years or more. Ellen Frederick was born to Daniel Frederick & wife in Wabash County, Mar 1, 1850. She was one of ten children. She married Jesse Martin Mar 26, 1881. Five children were born to them, three living. She is also survived by her husband. Rv. Samuel Frantz will conduct the funeral at the Fairview church. When a girl of seventeen, she united with the Servia Christian church under the ministry of Rev. Thomas Whitman.
(Servia, Indiana 1834-2011, compiled by Gladys Airgood, p135)
NOTE: It was an assumption that she is buried in Fairview based on the fact that her husband Jesse is buried there and that she actually died in Servia. We can now see on her Death Certificate that she is in fact buried in Fairview.
