Ethel V. Shoudt, 91, of Bridgeton Township, Upper Black Eddy, PA passed away on Saturday August 4, 2012 at her home.

Born March 24, 1921 in Cresco, PA, Ethel lived in Upper Black Eddy, PA for over 70 years. She worked at Eaton and Yale Corp. in Flemington, NJ and as a custodian for the Palisades School District. She was also a homemaker. She was a loving mother to her daughter, Shirley. Ethel enjoyed gardening, going shopping and spending time with her family and friends.

Ethel was a former member of the Upper Tinicum Lutheran Church in Upper Black Eddy, PA.

Daughter of the late Wesley S. and Hattie Mae Segear, Ethel's beloved husband Russell Shoudt passed away in 1963. She is survived by her beloved daughter Shirley A. Shoudt of Upper Black Eddy, PA, sister Arlene Simpson and her husband Clifford of Henryville, PA, brother in law Edgar Fluck of Perkasie, PA and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three brothers Elmer, Floyd and Charles Segear and three sisters Dorothy Strong, Cora Killar and Margaret Fluck.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday August 8, 2012 at 11 AM at the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, 24 Church Rd., Holland Township, NJ with Pastor Ozzie Pursell officiating. Interment will follow in Upper Tinicum Cemetery. Visitation will also be on Wednesday, from 10 – 11 AM prior to the service at the funeral home.
