J. Theodore Davis, 72, of Mt. savage, was pronounced dead on arrival yesterday at Sacred Heart Hospital.
Born in Vale Summit, he was the son of the late John P. and Della (Carr) Davis, and was preceded in death on November 25, 1974 by his wife, Dorothy (Fatkin) Davis.
Surviving are three sons, Lloyd F. Davis, Cumberland; Ralph E. Davis, Portsmouth, Va.; David A Davis at home; three daughters. Mrs. June Loar. Loartown; Mrs. Edith Cox, Baltimore; Mrs. Rosalie J Godwin, Cumberland; one brother, Lloyd F. Davis, Vale Summit; two sisters, Mrs. Helen Goodwin, Hagerstown; Mrs. Della Berg, Cumberland; 35 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Durst Funeral Home today from 7 to 9 p.m. and tomorrow from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
