Funeral services for Oscar Edmund Chambers, 86, of Skiatook, Oklahoma will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at the First Baptist Church in Skiatook, Oklahoma with Pastor Kelly Chronister officiating.
Interment in A.J. Powell Cemetery in Hominy, Oklahoma is under the direction of Peters-Stumpff Funeral Home. Casket bearers for the service are E.B. Hendrix, Jeremy Yarborough, Ryan Yarborough, Sam Chambers, Brandon Chambers, Colt Scott and Michael Collins. Musical selections for the service are "Daddy's Hands" and "When We All Get To Heaven" with Scott Neighbors as vocalist.
Oscar passed away on December 7, 2012, in Skiatook. He was born on April 5, 1926 in Hominy, Oklahoma to Fred and Mary (Cramer) Chambers. Oscar married Noma Blackwell on July 21, 1945 in Hominy, Oklahoma. They have lived in Skiatook for about 6 years. He worked as a pumper in the oilfield and a farmer.

Oscar is survived by his wife Noma of the home, five children: Barbara Hendrix and husband Evert of Skiatook; Janis King and husband Joe of Barnsdall; Charles Edmund Chambers and wife Carol of Driftwood, TX; Beverly Collins and husband Rick of Barnsdall; Oscar Dale Chambers and wife Terry of Bartlesville; 15 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren, five siblings: Marguerite DeWolf and husband Paul of Pampa, TX; Charles Chambers of Terlton; Nadine Blackwell and husband Alvin of Barnsdall; Ruth Stockham and husband Tom of Skiatook; and Mary Pace of Owasso.
He was preceded in death by his parents a brother Ben Pace, sister Ruth Chambers, two grandsons Kyle Kerr and Marcus Chambers.
