ALICE B. OVERSTREET
Mrs. Alice B. Overstreet, age 84, of Route 5, Bedford, passed away Friday, March 7, 1986, in the Bedford County Memorial Hospital.
She was born February 13, 1902 in Oconee County, S.C., a daughter of the late Joel Henderson Barker and Zenie Barker Barker. Her husband was the late Delbert R. Overstreet. She was a retired schoolteacher and was a member of Flint Hill Baptist Church.
She is survived by one son, Berry H. Overstreet, Bedford; two daughters, Mrs. Ed (Zena) Smith, Mrs. John (Wilma) Noell, both of Bedford; one sister, Miss Minnie Barker, South Carolina; ten grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted Sunday, March 9 from the Updike Funeral Chapel, Bedford, by the Rev. Joey McNeill and Rev. Jack Miller. Interment in the Overstreet Family Cemetery.
