"Mary Sophie Masur of Lockhart, Texas, passed away on Jan. 23, 2013, at the age of 91. She was born on Dec. 24, 1921 in String Prairie, Texas, to Rudolph and Mary (Grohman) Till.
Mary was a caring mother and grandmother. She retired from Lockhart ISD, food services after 26 years. She devoted her time to her family; her hobbies of tending to her flower gardens, sewing and cooking. She was long time member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and St. Mary’s Altar Society.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Masur; her parents; and three brothers, Leo Till, Sylvester Till, and Rudy Till."
