Moved to Canada (after death of parents) in 1911. Joined older cousin (Arthur Stanley Gordon) in Saskatchewan, Canada who had already emigrated in 1909. Initially worked on farm (Arthur Stanley was trying to work to earn under homesteader program) just east of Bitter Lake (50.113558, -109.565829) section 30, Township 13, Range 27, West of 3rd Meridian - probably for 10-15 years because was shown as residence in 1916 and 1921. This was about 10-15 km NE of Hatton (Forres), Alberta. Hazel Tina McDaniel (mother of Wilma Louise Shaw) had a sister and brother and law (Una Roxie McDaniel and Harry Oren Finley) who were homesteading the adjacent land at the same time.
Later ended up in Hatton (1945 shows him as living in Hatton as a Section Man presumably for the Canadian Pacific Railway) and then in Medicine Hat.
