Mrs. Noah Harris Died at Alford

Mrs. Noah Harris died at her home on the Alford Road, one mile east of Petersburg, Wednesday Noon. She had not been in good health for some time and one week ago she was stricken with paralysis and since had been in a serious condition.
Hulda Reel Harris was the daughter of David and Matilda Cummins Reel of Harrison Township, Knox County. She was born in the Reels chapel vicinity January 28, 1868, having reached the age of 75 years, 5 months and 11 days at her death. September 6, 1891, she was married to Noah Harris, of the same community. Mr. and Mrs. Harris lived in Knox County until the year 1808 [1908] when they moved to Pike County where Mr. Harris had employment in the Blackburn mines.
Four children were born to this union, three of whom survive, Mrs. Lula Miley of Muncie, Indiana; Mrs. Prudence Sanders of Philadelphia, Penn. and Edward Harris of Dayton, Ohio. Mrs. is serious ill at home in Philadelphia. One son Oliver preceded his mother in death twenty-seven years.
She was a lover of flowers--her favorites roses and lillies were always found in abundance in her garden. She was a good neighbor, and gave liberally of her material means toward the support of the church.
Surviving with the above named children are two sisters, Mrs Margaret Adams of Loogootee and Mrs. Alice Adams of Monroe City, Ind., together with 16 grand-children and two great grand-children.
Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 4 P.M. at the Methodist church, Rev. R.M. Taylor officiating. Burial will be in the Walnut Hills cemetery.
