Jessie Alley Short died Oct 14, 2004, in Hood River. She was born in Gering, Nebraska, on July 26, 1917, to William Jackson and Lulu Ann (LeFever) Alley. She married Keith Short on March 22, 1937. She retired in 1977 after working 28 years for Diamond Fruit. She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, James, Robert, and Boyd Alley; sisters, Mabel McLaughlin and Muriel Dempsey. She is survived by her children, Nola (Don), David (Paulette), and triplets Paul (Patricia), Pauline, and Paula; brother, William; nieces, Faye and Judy; nephews, Ronald, Jack, Dennis, and Dan; five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at Anderson's Tribute Center, with entombment in Idlewild Cemetery Mausoleum.
