He was born on October 19, 1955 in Carlisle, the son of the late John C. and Dorothy I. (Bentz) Albert.
John was an employee of Fry Communications in Mechanicsburg. He enjoyed playing the drums and formerly played in several area bands including The Gad-A-Bouts and Country Time.
John is survived by his wife, Donna M. (Giles) Albert; two daughters, Angela M. Cunningham of Mechanicsburg, Kimberly A. Miller of Carlisle; and two brothers, Roy E. Albert and Rev. Paul R. Albert, Sr., both of Dillsburg. He also leaves behind two grandsons, Ryan W. and Dylan J. Miller.
Services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. in the Cocklin Funeral Home, Inc., 30 N. Chestnut St., Dillsburg, with the Rev. Tom Myers officiating.
Burial will be held in the Dillsburg Cemetery, Mountain Rd. A viewing will be held Thursday from 1 to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
