Alexander Grant Lem, 34 of Jourdanton, passed away on Thursday, January 3, 2013, in San Antonio, Texas. Known as a "Warrior of our Country and State". Alexander served in the US Army, in the 1st Infantry Division, while being stationed in Iraq and Kosovo. He also served as a deputy in the McMullen County Sheriff's Dept. At the time of his death, he was attending Waylon Baptist University. He will be greatly missed. Alexander is survived by his parents of Jourdanton; one son; one brother; two sisters. He is also survived by one niece. Visitation was held from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM on Wednesday, January 16, 2013, at Hurley Funeral Home Chapel, 118 W Oaklawn Rd, Pleasanton. Funeral service was at 2:00 PM on Thursday, January 17, 2013, at Ft Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach San Antonio, Texas 78209.
