Thomas Ross Van De Weg, age 66, of Allendale, went to be with the Lord, his Savior, on Saturday, January 19, 2013 after a valiant battle with pancreatic cancer. He was preceded in death by his son, Ross; brother, Gerrit "John" Van De Weg; and parents, Gerrit and Rosalie Van De Weg. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Shirley; children, Ryan and Christa Van De Weg, Shauna and Craig Vugteveen; very special grandchildren, Lucas, Marissa, and Cade Van De Weg; sister, Rose and Paul Lutz, brothers, Harvey and Sherri Van De Weg, David and Dee Van De Weg, Vern Van De Weg; father-in-law, Joe and Ruth Rotman; sisters-in-law, Karen and Herb Van Timmeren, Norene and Ken Knoper; brothers-in-law, Bern and Deb Rotman, Jerry and Deb Rotman; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 11 AM on Wednesday at Rusk Christian Reformed Church, 10354 92nd Avenue, Allendale with Rev. Mark Neymeiyer officiating. Interment Allendale Township Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-9 PM at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf (corner of Avery and Scott) 6651 Scott St., Allendale.
