Mrs. Velma May Varner, 58, died yesterday at her home after ad extended illness.
Born in Dry Fork, she was a daughter of the late Benjamin and Della (Cunningham) Bodkin.
She was a member of Davis Church of God.
Surviving are husband, Paul Varner; a daughter, Miss Eva Varner, Davis; three brothers, Lester Bodkin, Winchester, Va., Pearlie Bodkin, Hagerstown, Md. and Foster Bodkin, Elmore; a sister, Mrs. Edna Wolford, Dry Fork and one grandchild.
The body is at the Spiggle Funeral Home where it will remain until noon Saturday when it will be taken to the Church of God for a service at 2 p.m.
Rev. David Wilson will officiate and interment will be in Davis Cemetery.
