Sherry Lynn Tibbs
Sherry Lynn Tibbs, 68 year-old Chelsea resident, died Monday, January 21, 2013 at the Hillcrest Hospital in Tulsa.
She was born on November 27, 1944 in Tulsa to Virgil and Betty (Moorman) Brown.
Sherry was married to George Clinton Tibbs, he preceded her in death in July of 2005.
She was retired from E & E sewing in Chelsea where she was a seamstress. Sherry enjoyed reading books, spending time with her grandchildren and teaching them to crochet, watching old films and fishing.
The family includes: her father, Virgil Brown of Foyil, children: John Tibbs of Chelsea, Carl Tibbs and wife Kimberly of Mayer, Minnesota; step-children, Teresa Dewey and husband Mickey of Chelsea, Gerald Tibbs of Wagoner, Carla Talley and husband John of Wagoner; three grandchildren, Matthew, Derek and Tiffany Tibbs.
Preceding her in death were her husband, her mother, two brothers, Roger Brown and Ross Elliott.
The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday, January 25, 2013 at the Luginbuel Funeral Home in Vinita.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 25, 2013, in the Luginbuel Chapel with Pastor Craig Denslow officiating. Interment will follow at the Chelsea Cemetery in Chelsea, OK.
