Death of an Aged Citizen: At his home in Elm Creek Township, on last Friday night, occurred the death of one of Morris county's oldest and most respected citizens, Elder William B. Hinton. Elder Hinton was ordained to preach the gospel in the year 1844, and was a faithful minister of the church of Christ from that day until his death. His wife preceded him about eight years. He leaves six children to mourn hi s departure. Elder Hinton moved to this country some 16 years ago, and has lived in Elm Creek township ever since. The funeral services were held at the Christian church at Wilsey, conducted by Elder Hamner., and attended by many friends of the deceased.
The Council Grove Republican, Council Grove, Kansas; 30 Nov 1888; Last Sunday Mr. W. B. Hinton Aged 78 years, was buried near Wilsey. He was the father-in-law of W. H. Pirtle, and was an old gentleman held in general esteem. The funeral was attended by a large number.
