KRZYCKI--Paul Krzycki dies; funeral services Tuesday
Paul Krzycki, 84, died at 1:20 p.m. Saturday at the Mory’s nursing home after a lingering illness.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 9 a.m. at St. Anthony’s Catholic church with Rev. Fr. John Schniegenberg officiating. Burial will be in the Catholic cemetery.
The body will lie in state at the Gahan Funeral Home today from noon until 5 p.m. when it will be taken to the home of his son, Charles Krzycki at 1410 9 St. The rosary will be prayed at 8 p.m. there.
Mr. Krzycki was born in Poland on June 14, 1870, the son of Peter and Mary Krzycki. As a small boy he came to the United States with his parents where they settled in Platte county in 1884.
On January 30, 1900 he was married to Katherine Gembica at S.S. Peter and Paul church at Krakow. After their marriage he farmed in Platte, Sherman and Nancy [sic] counties, retiring in 1943 when they moved to Columbus.
He is survived by four sons: Phillip of Genoa, Louis of Omaha, Leo and Charles of Columbus; one daughter; Mrs. Martin (Josephine) Borowiak of Silver Creek; 16 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren;; four brothers: Frank of Columbus, Tony and Charles of Genoa, John of Silver Creek; one sister, Mrs. Helen Borowiak of Silver Creek. He was preceded in death by his wife; two daughters: Mrs. Joseph (Clara) Koziol and Helen; one brother and two sisters.
