Anna R Porter was the fourth child of Robert Porter and Ann Riches. Robert and Ann had five children, as follows:
1. Dyson Porter (1839-1924)
2. Harriet Porter (Sweeny) (1840-1895)
3. Thomas Riches Porter (1844-1866)
4. Anna R. Porter (Frary)(1852-1932)
5. Robert Porter (1853-1947)
The first three children were born in England, where their parents were from, while Anna and her younger brother, Robert, were born in Ohio, after the family emigrated to the United States.

Anna married John E. Frary on 5 September, 1874, in Blissfield, Lenawee, Michigan. Their son, Charlie Henry Frary (1875-1959) was born there. John and Anna lived in Ohio in the 1880-1900 censuses, but were back in Blissfield at some time after that and John died on 29 May, 1909 in Blissfield. Anna was in Blissfield in the 1910 census. I haven't found Anna in the 1920 census, but there are newspaper mentions of her being in Blissfield, along with Charlie, in 1917 and 1921. Some of John's relatives lived in the central valley of California and Anna must have moved there sometime between 1921 and 1930. Her obituary states she was a former resident of Plainsburg, Merced county, California. However, by the 1930 census she was living with her son Charlie in Los Angeles, where she died in 1932. She was subsequently buried in the same cemetery as her husbands relatives in Plainsburg, while her husband, John was buried in Blissfield, where he had come from and died.
Her son Charlie Frary died in 1959 in Tulare County, California, so it is possible he is also buried in the same cemetery as his mother.
